I already wrote about change and its importance for our personal growth. But we also need to change our attitude towards the environment and the way we use our resources. This is important and necessary for the growth and continued existence of our society.
How One Person Inspired a Movement
We need change – positive change. Unfortunately, it’s too late for all the lost animal species. For the destroyed natural & cultural wonders, and all the generations wiped out by cruel wars. We seem to be masters of destruction.
But there is hope, I choose to remain hopeful. Recently I was inspired by an incredibly smart and brave individual, Greta Thunberg. She is a relentless force of positive change and inspires others to step-up and demand change. In a world that seems so resigned and tired of politics, she truly cares and shows us the way.
There is no doubt that Greta was born to do this. She defied all odds. Being on an autism spectrum and overcoming depression, Greta now speaks in front of millions and has ignited a movement for a better world. It’s beautiful to see her following her passion with such determination and clarity.
She sees it so simply and clearly. No excuses – the time for action and change is now.
“Sometimes we just simply have to find a way. The moment we decide to fulfill something, we can do anything. And Iām sure that the moment we start behaving as if we were in an emergency, we can avoid climate and ecological catastrophe. Humans are very adaptable: we can still fix this. But the opportunity to do so will not last for long. We must start today. We have no more excuses.
~Greta Thunberg
We children are not sacrificing our education and our childhood for you to tell us what you consider is politically possible in the society that you have created. We have not taken to the streets for you to take selfies with us, and tell us that you really admire what we do.
We children are doing this to wake the adults up. We children are doing this for you to put your differences aside and start acting as you would in a crisis. We children are doing this because we want our hopes and dreams back.”
Future Generations will Bring Green Initiatives to Life
Being passionate about sustainability and the environment myself, I believe everyone can make a difference. You can start with yourself. Your decisions, behaviors, how you raise your children, how you influence others and lead with example all make a difference.
One day in the future all the big corporations and political parties will be led by the new generations. And their mindset will be different. The new generation will become the new world.
Today I’m grateful for Greta and the inspiration she is to all of us. Hopefully, the new generation will show us the right way. How to stop this madness and they will do it the right way.
